Spring Flow

Children; they have been my inspiration for poetry this month. Little ditties have filled my creative blog more than I dare admit to in far too long. Good thing, as it is National Poetry Month!

The welcome sunshine that has finally filled my corner of the world helps as well. It’s amazing what a little vitamin D will do for a soul. That and a favourite pastime that doesn’t get much play in Canada for too many months at a go – gardening. I have pruned, puttered and poked my fingers into the cold soil, and now wait for fresh green shoots to make it all worthwhile.

So as much as I sometimes wonder where the next words will come from, I feel that rebirth in my creativity and relish it. I will take it from the sun, my children, my reawakening garden or my soul. It is a good thing. There has been poetry, short stories, book reviews and more. Can I keep it on a roll? Positive thoughts, breed positive actions. I see more poetry and book reviews in my immediate future, and hope that the story ideas that are jumping about in my brain eventually see the light of day.
